Bedtime Mischief has quickly become my kid’s favorite bedtime story. The book is about a little girl that decided to have a little fun by getting into mischief before going to bed. That seems to be the case for every kid, every night. But the book teaches a good lesson. It teaches that it’s OK for kids to be kids and have a little mischief in their life, but they’re in charge of cleaning their mess. That’s the part that most kids seem to have trouble with. Now that this story has become my kid’s favorite bedtime story, cleaning their mischief mayhem has also become a bedtime routine thanks to this wonderful book. Any parent with crazy kids like mine will be grateful they spent the money on this book.

I love classic stories like Pinocchio, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. I also love prequels that are written perfectly in tune with the classic. Here we have The Witch and the Baby Princess, a fantastic prequel to Charles Perrault’s Cinderella.  What a wonderful story of a witch, Mirabelle, and her choices to do good or evil. Her decisions would ultimately affect her destiny. The thing that I like most about this story is the way it’s presented. The author writes with a very distinct voice that reminds me of a father reading a bedtime story to his kids, which just adds more character to this classic tale. If you’re looking for good books for your kids to read over the summer, this is an amazing book to start with.
