Diary of a Wimpy Kid

As an author, Jeff Kinney did a fantastic job of telling a compelling story using a very unique method of delivery. You can’t help but enjoy his work. As a second grade teacher, his books have inspired students that I thought would not read, begin reading and quickly become strong readers. His books are amazing and inspiring. The pictures in this book series are creative, and very imaginative. I have been told by a number of other teachers that these Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are not up to par with other literature, but like I said before, I have seen this series of books motivate students who can't read, to read. The best way to get a kid to read is to give that kid a good book, and this is one of them.
